First let me say how sorry I am that your "full" life has been taken from you.
Your story is so close to my own that it is scary!
The only difference is... I was given high doses of Antibiotics four different kinds in a three month period – and continually – for an ear infection. Not once did the doctors do a culture to see what was suppose to be growing in my ear they just said ear infection and overdosed me on Antibiotics . Then – as you said, I couldn’t get out of bed, started falling, I now type with two fingers – because my hands are so gnarled.
I was finally diagnosed with Lupus and Scleroderma. Until this Antibiotic overdose I was as healthy and happy a person as ever was and energy to spare. Like you everyone wondered how I could do so much day after day – but I loved it.
Now I sit in a chair and on a good day my husband helps me into the car and we visit our grandchildren but I have to have an electric scooter even to get around. It’s disgusting and I am NOT just looking to blame someone – I am looking to educate people to the horrible side effects of trusting doctors cart blanc! ASK QUESTIONS, trust you gut, don’t allow anyone continue to give you something that is not helping or making you sick.
Again, I share your pain Sharyn and I pray your life gets much better in the future. I am learning to live with this disease, and because of my faith in God – life is good again, but certainly NOT as good as it should have been.
