Controversial is right. What if the Apocrypha is the Word of God and removing them was the work of men with an agenda opposed to the will of God? Those books were in the protestant Bible until only a few hundred years ago. If early Christians thought they were the Word of God, who are we to deny them? I have thought about this a lot. There is a great apostasy in the last days. If forgetting the Apocrypha is part of the falling away then there might be a reason to open that old Bible and see what it has to say? I have no idea about who removed those books but if you read Revelations, there is a warning about it..... Anyway, I already found God, and God wasn't in a book... God found me and set me aside...at least that is what God said. Somehow God is bigger than the spoken or written words...God is the greatest expectation of the Word... The bible is like stored energy waiting to spring off of the page into your life. God is like a bundle of potential energy that has joyous laughter enough to sweep the whole of creation up in love. If the Apocrypha can add to the joy, perhaps there is a reason to read it? Only by converting potential energy to kinetic energy...from sitting there as knowledge to moving to action is God revealed. God moves through the Word and if we only have a part of the Word, then maybe we might miss part of the joyous journey? Just a thought. : )
