Re: Raw milk

Yes. We got ours from a friend's farm, for a few months.

They were good dairy farmers, but we don't know what they fed their cows, or otherwise put into them.

Nor did we know the lineage of their animals; the quality of their grazing land (or the number of cows on it); what imported feeds were used; or even their cleanliness.

There is so much to know, to be confident of.

Apparently, Europeans use raw milk that bears a 'Certified' label.

Also, I heard there is a herd in the U.S. that has been kept truly 'organic' for more than fifty years.

An article on the dangers of breaking down the size of the fat globules in milk, suggested that the reduced size was able to pass through the intestines, and capable of 'piggy-backing' some kind of harmful bacteria directly into the bloodstream.

The management of milkfat is important to profits in the industry.

There's more, but it saddens me to type it.

Perhaps you can find a dairy farmer in your area who practices 'organic' principles; if it is legal for you to purchase directly.

Good luck!
