Just keep that cell culture in your mouth, maybe tucked between your cheek and gum, and that should protect you. I also have read that palladium is extremely toxic and that most, if not all dental gold contains substantial paladium. Can't trust FDA, heck, they say Amalgams are safe. While gold itself is fairly non active, once you alloy it, the properties are vastly different, just like amalgams. You really can't expect to do away with the toxic effects of paladium by alloying it with gold, any more than you do away with the toxic effects of mercury, by alloying it with silver.
