Re: Article involving bentonite clay

In further reading, it is suggested that the clay does absorb toxins, but that instead of being passed, the clay coats the intestine and seals in the toxins, also keeping further toxins from passing. I realise, of course that the amounts ingested are the key here. It would be quite likely for a cat to ingest the same amount suggested for a human in a day of healthful use (anywhere from 1/2 to 3 teaspoons, leading to chronic or overdose proportions. I still intend to use the clay in my Bowel Cleanse but will do it judiciously and for only a period of two weeks. As with anything, moderation.

> Has anyone read this, it is mostly about cats but suggests that chronic use of Bentonite clay can be hazardous to humans as well. Wonder just what they mean by chronic.
