Oral allergy syndrome allergies

Hi! I have struggled with food allergies for years and over the last week i read an article on OAS (oral allergy syndrome )which mainly effects your lips and face. I notice when i eat i get sore lips straight away with spots and rashes that last for weeks. I read in the an article to take antihistamine, which seemed to help. Will i have to take antihistomines all the time now or is thee another method of getting rid of these allergies? OAS is only really allergies to fruit and veg but i find what ever i eat effects me. Can anybody help? Thanks!
