You know an Optician or Optometrist is unlikely to diagnose all medical problems involving the eyes.

Research what most closely describe your symptoms, then ask a specialist if he can rule the symptoms out or diagnose as another problem.

Optician:

An oculoplastic surgeon thinks like an ophthalmologist and performs surgery like a plastic surgeon. This combination of skills makes an oculoplastic surgeon the recognized expert in eyelid and orbital surgery.
