Is it necessary to chelate? Eat eggs?

Hi all,
I recently got half of my Amalgams replaced (with composite resin) at the best dentist I could find (followed all the safety protocols). I am getting the rest out in a few days. I have heard so much conflicting info. about chelating and how to do it, when to start, and if it is even necessary (some say the body rids itself of the mercury slowly on it's own). I have also heard not to eat eggs but haven't heard good reasons for why and how long to avoid them. Just wondering if anyone could share their own personal experiences with these issues. Thanks!
