Re: Echocardiogram/stress test

of course the radionuclides are a bad thing to have in you. here's a table of their halflives - http://physics.nist.gov/PhysRefData/Halflife/halflife.html

Web definitions for Radionuclide - Any species of an atom that is radioactive.

no offense here - but the end result of all medical tests are 1) drugs or 2) surgery. I've learned this the hard way - what is the end result of your test going to be? I mean - what information are you going to gain? I realize that this is a radical concept - nobody generally asks a doctor what they hope to gain in terms of HEALING from a test like this.

Can you get info from this test that is actually going to help you in the end? Sometimes I feel like doctors do all these tests, that are actually supposed to mean something - and in the end, they don't. They may give additional information, but with the tools that the doctors have on hand - drugs and/or surgery - they really can't do anything with the results anyway. So that's my question to you - is the information you can get from this test important to your healing, and are you willing to eat radioactive dye to get it? Only you know the answers.
