A family member of mine has had a horrible problem with ongoing scabies problems with one of her children. What I found for her was some information on the use of tea tree oil to control and prevent outbreaks. If you get ahold of some real good quailty tea tree oil (essencesupply.com has high quality at an amazing price, they are in Canada but orders are fast getting to the USA if that is where you are) every day at bath time you add some (4-5 drops I believe) drops of it to your bath, this keeps scabies from infesting, it kills them before they have the chance to infest. Also, tea tree oil directly on the red rash will kill it and heal it, it also stops the itching right away. It take 2-3 weeks if I remember right, to clear it up completely. It is not a poison pesticide like the usual chemicals so it is not toxic like them though it can cause irritation to very sensitive skin. Someone already infested should use both methods, direct appilication and bathing. I can't remember how much though. It think it is 2 applications a day and possibily 2 baths though I may be wrong on that part. I tried to find the site that gave me all the info but was unable, if you search I'm sure you can find out more about how to use it. I know my family member has not had a problem with her child for quiet a time, and he was VERY prone to them. GOOD LUCK AND GOD BLESS
