Re: TONSILOTOMY vs. TONSILLECTOMY-5 yr old stopping breathing

His tonsils do look large to me, but my other son seems to have not as big, but big also. I've saying tonsils and adenoids only because the websites (.gov) are saying that's what has to be done for sleep apena. I spoke with a Dr.(?) at NIH National Sleep Disorders Office this afternoon and he said that partial removal was not the solution only complete removal of the tonsils and adenoids would do it. He said that my description of my son was sleep apena.

My son has a stopped up nose when he wakes in the morning. He loves sweets. I have cut out milk, but I've found it is hard to get foods that don't have any milk or milk derived ingredients.

Could diet cause sleep apena?

Also, I've tried to get him to take chewable vit. C and he won't take it. Is there another way to get it down him?

Thanks Ev.
