You're very kind . many thanks. my min concern robin is that what i'm getting here is osteo-arthritis and i think this one is really insidious and quiet. whilst my joints in the legs HAVE probably been subject to abnormal stresses over the years I'm amazed and greatly concerned with the thumb issue. as far as i know i haven't been walking on my hands!
