Re: I use Doctor David Williams' Joint Advantage.

Hiya,

I just wanted to add something to the previous post about glucosamine. I'm posting from the UK and loads of people take it for arthritis/joint pain (I used to work in a pharmacy), more people are also getting it prescribed by their doctor (over here, an NHS prescription is free to those aged 60 or over). Strangely, it was my personal tutor at university that actually did one of the trials on the stuff and she found that it was fairly effective for a subgroup of patients. That is, it will work well for some people, but show little effect in others. May well be worth a try, although I do not know how long any effects take to show up.

As the good pharmacy student I am, I must say that you should talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking anything new, especially if you're taking other stuff at the same time - you don't want any dodgy side-effects from mixing and matching meds!!

Kind regards,

Chris
