Re: Water intake.

I think the half your body weight in ounces is the bare minimum. And it's really subjective. For example if you're eating lots of foods with high water content, such as raw fruits and vegetables, soups, etc. then you might need less water. If you're eating lots of concentrated and/or refined foods, you'll need more. If you're overweight, you need more. If you exercise, you need more. If you live in a warm place, you need more. If you eat lots of protein, you need more. If you drink something caffeinated, you need more. Etcetera. I wouldn't be concerned with trying to force myself to drink a set LARGE amount, but half your body weight in ounces is a small amount unless you are VERY large.
I'd turn into a prune if I drank only 50 oz. a day, (I am about 100 lbs) that's for sure. I probably drink about 100 oz. a day.

By the way, have you done any kidney cleansing? You should check into that and do one, regardless of the amount of water you are drinking.
