Re: foods for pregnancy
Hi Suzanne -
Cleansing and balancing your pH -- i.e. creating a strong, healthy internal environment -- would be your best approach to this problem.
In addition, you will want to make sure that you are eating foods that are in agreement with your body, getting adequate amounts of all the nutrients your system requires and eliminating those foods/substances that are working against you.
"If It's Not Food, Don't Eat!" covers all the basics in this regard and would be a great place to start. It also includes instructions for a basic elimination diet which would be a great place to start in terms of cleansing and identifying foods that you may have a problem with.

In addition, it would be wise to be sure that you are eating plenty of foods that are nourishing to the female reproductive system, such as turmeric and almonds, for example. But to focus on eating this kinds of foods or supplements is really secondary to really cleansing your system and being sure that you have a strong nutritional foundation overall.
In many traditional cultures, cleansing was a general practice for both mothers and fathers-to-be before conception. Somewhere along the line we have lost sight of this ancient wisdom.
Hope that helps!
