I've been supplementing with taurine in a single supplement for the past few months along with my magnesium. I have been using it for its role in bile production and vision health. I've only been using 500mg per day, and can not say if it has helped much. From what I've read, 1000-2000mg is more typical for supplementation.
My leaky gut has vastly improved, but I have also been supplementing with glutamine and vitamin A, and have been using glutamine for quite a while before I started using the taurine.
