escaping the tribulation

as anyone in their right mind knows, the troubles that confront us in the immediate future are man-made. the powers which drive us in this direction cannot be effectively fought in the widespread arena. we must take the same attitude toward survival as most of us have had to do regarding our health. there is absolutely NO ONE who is going to do it for us.

as it stands right now, we are reaping what we have sown - health, economy, resources, etc. and even with mighty efforts, i believe none of us will be unscathed by the coming crisis. therefor, what we must focus our efforts on is being capable. capable of providing our own health care. capable of providing our own food, transportation, money, water, etc.

i do not discount the lord in this, but i do not believe that what i am saying goes against anything the lord has said to us. by being good servants, we can overcome.

the key is education. it is the one thing that cannot be taken away from us. many years ago, i made sure that i could grab a few things around the house and put them in a pack on my back and take off on foot and survive in any season, any weather, and under most other conditions. i was this way in alaska where it was much more feesable, despite the weather. now that i am in the middle of the frying pan, it is very clear to me that the most dangerous animal on earth is man. i suggest everyone learn to make themselves quite useful. this means getting off our butts and being useful now. when the strong winds come is no time to practice. and they are coming. a good and faithful servant is hard to come by, especially in hard times.
