hi,

well, a new forum. hmmmmmmmmmm... got lots of comments on those "end times."
i am a well travelled end timer, a veteran of many many end time theories and attitudes and concepts.

someone already brought up that the whole end time belief system relieves believers of any concept of caring for the earth or taking responsibility for our destructive non-sustainalbe way of living and there is definitely truth in that. i mean the mega corps love that notion! poison the earth now, rake in profit, and God don't mind at all! somethinig not right about that picture.

but the thing is that the whole modern day notion of "end times" may be both very right and very wrong. very right in the sense that many many things, in fact our whole way of living may end. our culture, our concnept of civilization, our religious notions, our way of relating to the earth and each other all may come crashing down in a horrific and terrible fashion.

HOWEVER!

that does not mean life on earth will end.

Here is a concept for you - THE NEW JERUSALEM MAY BE BUILT BY US, OVER TIME, EACH OF US, BRICK BY BRICK, PRAYER BY PRAYER, HEART BY HEART.

think about that! i have more to add but i want to see if this topic is strong enough to sustain a forum. whadya think?
