Re: Gene Weingarten on Kevin Trudeau, email him at weingarten@washpost.com
If you think Kevin Truduea is full of shit- then you will have to disagree with any health alternative knowledge you pick up on Curezone or other Alternative
Health Forums .
He didnt make this knowledge up himself, but got it from other sources.
I've heard years ago that walking and looking far into the distance does do something positive to the seratonin levels-- as well as lymphatic fluids. He never stated in his book that it would be the total cure for depression- but he lists many other options to choose from as well-- especially in chapter 6 and later chapters. Incorporating all of these things into one's lifestyle-- actually applying them instead of reading them- can not help but make a positive impact on one's health-which will create a positive chain reaction in the entire body. Everything ties in together. Even stress can negatively affect a person's immune system, and Kevin even addresses this- and provides suggestions on dealing with this, as well.
I feel the book is an ideal starter book for someone who has never delved into the Holistic, Alternative health area before. The Curezone crowd of health lovers probably already know alot of the things he mentions in his book- but there are alot of newbies out there that would never have a clue unless someone who studies these alternative options lets them in on the secrets through a book that would get the public's attention.
Yes, they are things that the drug industry doesnt really want masses of people to start applying. This isnt something new about the FDA and FTC-- they have always tried to discourage Holistic and Alternative ways so the drug companies could be in charge. Even Michael Moore wanted to do an expose on the FDA and FTC at one point. I think he was told to back off. Dont be surprised that every article in the drug company sponsored media is going to lambaste Kevin Truduea's book. Expect this. It was planned ahead of time. Kevin was told he was pushing a fine line when he wrote the book- but he didnt care. To keep the FTC from hasseling him, he has made a point to over-comply with thier rules so that they cant have any excuse against him.
He also does mention in his book about his criminial past-- this is nothing new. The editors love to bring this up in every article, to turn off people from reading the book. He mentions his past in the later chapters towards the end.
Kevin is human and admits it- I'd rather a person be upfront like that, then sneak behind the scenes as the FDA, FTC, ADA , Media, etc, are.
