Re: newborn vaccine

I am 4 months pregnant and have a cousin who is married to a doctor. I asked him if I could request the HepB vaccine not be given at birth and he said yes, that I could wait until the baby was 2 months old and have my pediatrician give it. I just have to write a letter to the hospital upon registration/admission. I personally am not against HepB completely, I would just rather wait for my baby to build up her immune system first as I will be nursing. Tweet
