Re: HELP-5 yr old stopping breathing-TONSILOTOMY vs. TONSILLECTOMY

I can understand your reasoning. My history has been the opposite. I was sick as a child and had my tonsils out, and it stopped my sore throats. However, starting about 6-7 years later I started having major health issues and now I have Type 1 diabetes, migraines, and thyroid issues.

Sometimes I think that having my tonsils out caused these other issues, and I don't want my son to go through the same. He has since started on allergy meds, and we have started using an ozone machine and these things have helped with his sleep. Also, he has been tested and found to have sleep apnea.
