it's time to forgive....
As I look over the threads in this forum I'm amazed at how deeply one woman's story has touched us all. There have been many passionate threads, some very elequent, some heated & even a bit nasty . . . some are filled with anger & disgust at Mr. Shiavo; some are discouraged by the continuing of a life they believe had no quality.
Like so many issues today there has been an extreme polarization here as well. And it leaves me wondering if we will ever be able to come together as one human family living in harmony.
Whether you side with the parents or the husband, it's always easy to play arm chair quarterback & from a distance judge the choices made by others. But life is a mystery we can never fully comprehend. We are imperfect by design, parts of a greater whole, and in the end all we can do is our best with the cumulative knowledge & skills we have at any given time.
Please, rather than to continue to perpetuate innuendos & explore the smelly laundry of this poor family the media so glady hangs out for all to see, take a few soft breaths and offer forgiveness to those involved & to ourselves for the times when we could have done better.
