I do appreciate your response and have to read this a few times over. So what the suggestions as far as a nutritonal aspect to keep this from happening again? Only reason we found out about it it grew through the windpipe and couldn't breath well. They did idoin radiation followed up by 40 treatments around the neck by a radiation machine. Any guidlines would be helpful.

Do you keep the immune system going strong do you keep adding idoine supplementation even though the thyroid is gone? Hes currently taking thyroid supplments that they monitor via blood and adjust his medication every so often.
