Yummy Aloe Vera Smoothies

The best source of Aloe Vera is from the plant itself. Anything purchased may not be as good as the straight stuff but several aloe-vera supplemental providers say they have the real thing. It may be true and aloe immune may be great but you can get a gallon jug of aloe vera for $20 that would last a long time while you are planting aloe plants. I drink 2 ounce almost every day but unless your son is really gung-ho about aloe vera, I doubt if he will take it without flaovorings added.

There are lots of aloe products that make it easier to take aloe but I want to do my own for cost and freshness. I mix in carrots or carrot juice in two ounces of pure aloe juice and add a little cinnamon when I am in a hurry for a concoction that goes down well. The best aloe drink for me though comes from adding aloe vera to lots of natural fruits and veggies. When I make my almost daily smoothie with fruits & veggies the taste of aloe is lost in the flavor of the smoothie. My almost daily smoothie consists of veggies(usually carrots), a little honey for sweetner, bannanas and whatever fruit I can find(blueberries and strawberries are yummy and have wonderful health benefits) plus: oat-milk or almond milk instaed of yogurt, lots of ice from filtered clean water and whatever else you like.

While researching natural forms of Vitamin C, I also came across acerola fruit. Acerola is an interesting fruit that provides 1,600+ x the daily nutritional need per day for one cup. I have not tried it yet but it looks very promising as a natural form of Vitamin C. To make all of this stuff sweeter, Wrenn suggests using the herb stevia. The main thing about aloe vera is to get your son to take the aloe vera in a tasty and healthy way. If you add the extra goodies to aloe vera that are good for him as well, it will make the aloe go down easier and he will be more likely to continue taking it. Follow the links below if you want to know more.
