Are the two linked?

I have been having really bad pains in my side for the last two months,but for the last five or six days the pain has become constant.I visited my GP on Tuesday to de diagnosed with shingles,Is it normal to pas blood in your motions when having shingles,could it be the pain causing me to do this[which I have this morning,but only very slight]I know I am posting this on these pages but dont we all think the worst,I do hope someone can help,many thanks in anticipation,Debs.[ps the only medication im taking is dihydrocodiene for the pain.][pps my age is 34]very young to get shingles I know.
