Stomach cancer please help

Hello i am new to this forum and i need your help guys. My mom has been diagnosed with stomach cancer stage 4 last september 2003. She is 49 years old. She underwent operation to remove the tumor. After operation doctor said he couldnt remove everything but he could relive her painful symptoms (i dont know what he meant. My mom has
to undergo this major operation and left her to die). After two weeks of operation she underwent pallative chemotherapy. I hate to hear the word pallative. This doctor gave lung cancer drug instead of stomach cancer drug. After two rounds of chemo we came to know about it when we met with other chemo doctor. We changed our doctor and started chemo again. after two rounds we wanted to go for alternative treatment.

In jan 2004 we stopped chemo and started trying different alternative methods.From last two months her marker levels are fluctuating. 6 weeks back her tumor marker raised to 6.8 then immediately changed herbs and in two weeks her CEA levels reduced to 2.8 . We all were happy that something is working but after a month her marker raised to 6.9.
I have some questions for you guys please help.
Do cancer cells become resistant to herbs so soon?
Can anyone suggest which herbs are good for stomach cancer?
