Re: how to remove mercury fillings

Joe,
Thanks for website. It's a nighmare trying to find a good dentist. I was told my previous dentist was not good, by the hygenist who left, recommended this new one to me and here's the deal: my upper right crown came off, little left of tooth and lots of tissue decay and think he mentioned something about bone; upper right has tiny tooth, also with a crown that came off. For both of these teeth he was thinking implants or even temporary partial. I told him about 2 weeks ago I need to think about my course of action. Well I've been having horrible tooth aches. It can just come on or comes on when I eat something like a fruit. So today they squeezed me in, did xray on front area where I had a hole, and turns out to be think 2-3 cavaties, one being large. He spent time going over my options again, the outrageous costs, out of pocket too, for temporary partials. Each of the two upper teeth that have decayed tissue he said for pulling could cost $135-$200 each and top that with about $235 for the temporary partial. It's one partial. I don't understand that fr two teeth, but that's what he said today. So appt. is 2 weeks out for entire set of xrays which I had done by the other dentist last Nov. so he can see what is going out to get out the fires. He will do non mercury fillings.

It's a great financial burden to us as I have been looking for employment, but nothing to be had yet except going to see if volunteer opportunity I submitted for, with permanent opening told coming up for this same woman who asked about my background, told me to apply may help. With dentist one I did have a funky dental plan, but like I mentioned above hygenist didn't have nice things to say now.

Are biol. dentists all around? I am in CO....outside Denver/Boulder areas? Thanks. You are welcome to email me directly, but repond here for groups great learning.

Oh, I'm a health nut with bad teeth...eat mainly raw foods, but was born this way and have never been able to get a grip on this. Thanks for sharing. I did have some dental work done with the both crowns done in MX as well as root canals and that was year ago....bad experience if I have to go on with this new problem with their crowns, etc.
