Re: NEED HELP, HIVES
Hi Tim
I do not know about the other products and things that you are taking but do know a lot about probiotics.
You mentioned that you are taking a good brand of probiotics. I am not sure how you define a good brand. A good probiotic should have the following:
i) sure bacteria count as the revival rate of lactic bacteria from freeze dried probiotic is very low. It is important that the bacteria was alive before freeze drying. The reason that the revival rate is low as freeze drying often affects the cellular structure of the organism. It is a very harsh process. I would recommend a probiotic with live bacteria
ii) multiple strains of lactic bacteria as different strains work in different areas of the GI tract. Within these multi-strains should be as many colonizing ones as possible so that they can prevent reinfection or recurrence of the problem. Preferably, there should be at least 10 different strains
iii) there should be protection for the bacteria from the strong stomach acids when taken. If freeze dried, it should at least be enteri coated otherwise a cellulose fibre gel would be effective. It is important that the lactic bacteria can be delivered to the intestines where it would be most effective.
Instructions on when to take the probiotic may be important to achieve maximum effect and benefits from it.
I hope this is of help to you and hope you find the answer to your problem quickl.
Take care and keep well
