As long as the water we drink is GOOD water (not full of metals or chloride) it is one of the best things we could do for ourselves, besides breathing deeply, to drink lots of it!! Research/listen to your body. Experiment. What happens when you don't drink so much? (to your digestion, elimination, propensity for headaches, energy level. . . ) There is a fascinating book called Your Body's Many Cries for Water you may want to check out. Our bodies are largely comprised of water - water is life-giving, it flushes TOXINS out of the body, NOT things the body wants/needs. The body has wisdom. YOU have wisdom. Listen to it! You are taking the advice of a friend who heard it from "a doctor" do YOU know this doctor? Does he/she know you? There is a lot of contradictory information out there about almost everything in the health field. Listen to your own intuition and experience, and a doctor/naturopath who you know and trust.
