It went away and then came back
This is really a response to "Libby Supplee" in the
Psoriasis Tab thread and I suppose a response to the "Survey" thread that no one has responded to.
I got my
Psoriasis to go completely away for about a year by severely restricting my diet. I was having a horrible bout with Psoriatic
Arthritis (I was only 32 at the time) and went to a Naturopath out of desperation. I had
food allergy testing done and eliminated wheat, all gluten grains, eggs, soy, dairy, beans, all meat except fish,
Sugar and all the nightshade vegetables. The
Arthritis went completely away (I now do triathlons in the summer) and my skin cleared up 100%. This was the only time in my whole adult life my skin was completely clear. After a year on the strict diet I added back nightshade vegetables, chicken, turkey and small amounts of goat milk products. The
Arthritis hasn't come back, but the
Psoriasis did. I'm now trying to get myself "Psyched up" to eliminate tomatoes, potatoes and peppers again, as well as the goat products. I'm hoping this will help my skin clear up. As far as I'm concerned, diet is the only way to go, but it is very difficult to be that disciplined.
