Re: The True Cause of Psoriasis
Hi everyone. I've been reading this forum on and off for a long time and finaly decided it's time to join in. I came down with psoriatic
Arthritis about 17 years ago and had been a vegetarian for about 5 years. I also had done a lot of fasting, cleanses and colonics. I continued with that diet thinking it was healthy and also tried many natural therapies over the years so when I read Pagano's book I thought "dam, this is just another one size fits all more of the same stuff I'm already doing and it's not helping." I kept trying different natural therapies--acupuncture, chinese herbs, intensive ayurvedic treatment twice in India, naet, homeopathic, yeast
Elimination Diets , etc. and I kept getting worse--distorted hands, feet, pain, swelling and severe psoriasis, fatigue. After reading D'adamo's book about 4 years ago, I started eating red meat and following his blood type O diet. Within a few days my swelling went down and I started feeling better. I've not had a major arthritic flare-up since. Unfortunatly, my
Psoriasis has not gotten better so I continue to look for other pieces of the puzzle and perhaps Pagano has some good suggestions but I'm definitly not going back to the diet he recommends. As bad as
Psoriasis is, I'd rather have it and be able to walk than not have it and be crippled. Right now I'm taking herbs and supplements to cure leaky gut syndrome. I don't know if that's my problem but I'll assume it is if I see any improvement in a while. Does anyone know how long it might take to heal the gut?
