Found a reference to using vitamin A & D in Dr. Atkins Vita-Nutrient Solution book. It seemed to very quickly reduce the symptoms by 90% on my face and torso (not legs for some reason). I ingested 100,000 IU of vitmain A and 1200 IU of vitamin D for the past week. These are high doses and I know the vitamin D amount is too much for long term use. Both vitamins are fat soluable and will accumulate in the body. This is probably near the upper limit in terms of toxicity for Vitamin A for long term use. The side effects of vitmain D are nasty and do permanent damage to things like your arteries and other organs. I think the only safe amount of vitmain D is 400 IU.
As you may have guessed I'm not that comfortable with these high doses. The vitmain A is from fish liver and I'm wondering if that has lots of toxins in it... Hopefully Google will help me find some type of cure for my self diagnosed (no health insurance until next month) psoriasis.
