There's a good homeopathic remedy for pets called anti-itch or something like that. You can put it in his drinking water and it brings on pretty fast relief. Not sure about hte lemon juice, you can check with a Yahoo group for a particular breed of dog and see what breeders say, they often know way more than vets do! :) Just pretend you have the same breed that they do. ;)
