Dosha, yeast, etc.
HI Shelley,
My dosha score is 13/15/16 across the results.
I have had a yeast infection for almost 4 months now, but my infection does not create intense itching & burning. I was told by my doctor that my system has acclamated itself to having and liking the yeast infection and it refuses to come down.
I have never in the past 10 years taken large amounts of
Antibiotics , and in the last 5 years I could say that I haven't taken any at all.
I haven't had the flu in 7 years and rarely get a cold. When I do get a cold, it is short lived. I feel that my immune system is strong, but sometimes I think I am just lucky.
I am 5'2", 26, female weighing 155lbs. I am heavily muscled in my legs but i have always carried extra fat and cannot lose weight easily.
I have large patches of eczema on my legs, my skin is dry and cracked yet it is covered in oil bumps, especially on my arms and my ribs. My face gets oily quickly but always feels dry. My hair is babyfine, lightbrown, and also oils easily. My fingernails will not grow without intense peeling and flaking and breaking. THey are thin nails with grooves in them, like grain of wood.
I also have patches of red, flaky, itchy skin underneath both eyes and on my lips, and occasionally on my eyebrows.
I have done the
Master-Cleanse 2.5 times. THe first time I felt amazing, the second 1.5 times I felt good, but nothing like the first time.
I am on the ortho-lo birth control pill.
I am concerned that I am sufferring from Candida. I have read a lot about it and feel that everything about my emotional & physical state matches well with the symtpoms, and my diet definitely lends itself to candida.
What concerms me the most is my yeast infection, my skin, and my inability to eat anything without gaining weight. I am getting to the point where i am afraid to eat because I won't be able to wear my clothes the next day.
I just began drinking ACV today and taking "shots" of fresh wheat grass. I have been taking oregano oil for the past two weeks. I also take flax seed oil and ginko biloba every day.
I have heard that the "pill" can sometimes be a helper in creating yeast infections. I would like to go off the pill if it will help my problem, but in the future I will either need to find another oral contraceptive or go stay with the pill. My husband is severely allergic to latex and condoms are out of the question.
The candida diet scares me because I am not a big veggie eater. I really don't like veggies at all, and I fear that I will starve myself tryingto stick to the diet.
Shelley, your advice/thoughts/concerns/feelings are greatly needed. I don't know where to begin.
Thanks,
Christi
