are the mouthguards you get from the dentist small and not so bulky? i really don't like the mouthguard i have (bought it at walmart) because they are so big that i can't fully close my mouth over it, ugh!

i just don't want to spend a lot of money on a mouthguard from a dentist if it is going to be as big, bulky and uncomfortable as my cheapo mouthguard, ya know? i'm kind of a cheapskate (blush blush)
