Re: Tennis elbow! Help needed.
Hi Invincible,
I read somewhere once that magnetic therapy can help with tennis elbow. Also I have book on complimentary medicine and under repetitive strain injury problems it recommends a number of things beside the orthodox treatment of physiotherapy.....
Osteopathy
Alexander technique - RSI respond very well to Alex Tech as it helps to reduce undue tensions in the cervical spine and generally in neck and shoulders. The technique helps the person to achieve and maintain freedom and poise while engaging in certain activities
Rolfing - alleviates the problem by enabling the muscles to move more appropriately and releasing muscles which are causing pain
Autogenic training
Chiropractic - using manipulation and mobilization, soft tissue work and other modalities eg ultra-sound. Also Ergonomic advice will be offered.
Nutrition - lack of B6 and it's co-factors (magnesium?)
Massage to increase circulation and use of herbs eg rosemary, juniper and lavender
Naturopathy - neuromuscular and osteopathic treatment, Hydrotherapy, contrast bathing and applied nutrition.
Hellerwork has reportedly worked wonders with RSI.
Acupuncture, acupressure and shiatsu may also help.
Hope your boyfriend finds something to help :)
