Betain HCL, Enzymes and Duodenal Ulcers

Hello!

My doctor told me I probably have a duodenal ulcer, mostly from a combination of undigested food rotting and past ibuprofen use. He thinks H Pylori is probably not the culprit.
Anyway, I am currently taking a few enzymes and Betain HCL with each meal. Otherwise I don't seem to be able to digest food I eat, and it rots and makes me feel worse.

I'm wondering, should I continue my Betian HCL and enzymes while I am treating the ulcer (with L-glutamine, cabbage juice and cayenne), or do I need to stop taking the digestion aids? Of course, I think the lack of digestion is what caused the ulcer in the first place...

And of course, the reason why I'm deficient in HCL has not come up yet *SIGH* I'm just hoping treating the ulcer will miraculously cause my HCL levels to return to normal. :)

I can't wait for this entire "health crisis" to be over! At least I'll emerge with a ton of knowledge on proper digestion, supplements, etc...
