severe stomachaches two weeks after starting SCD - can anyone help

Hi

My wife has crohn's colitis (crohn of the large intestine), that's the doctors' estimation.

She started the SCD diet after reading the book, two weeks ago.

Before starting the diet, she suffered from diarrhea with blood (no solid feces), which worsened, and treated with steroids, and Antibiotics , which reduced it a little.

When starting the diet she had still only diarrhea with blood, and no solids. after a week with the diet (and with the Antibiotics effect) the blood disappeared, and the number of time of diarrhea per day went down to 3 (after about 10 or more before that).

Three days ago, for the first time she had solid feces (no blood) but they were accompanied with sharp pains. from then on she started to have very frequent stomache pains which SHE DIDN'T HAVE BEFORE (before there was mainly diarrhea, no pain).

Now for three days she has sever pains, with need to go to the toilet (feces or diarrhea sometimes)... The pains wake her several times each night (that didn't happen before) and are constant.

Please help - did you encounter such change of symptoms at the beggining of the diet?
Did it solve itself or required medical attention or change in the diet? (she is very strict with the diet, but lost her appetite..

Could this be because of an ileus (intestinal jam), or calamity (narrow intestinal)?May be before starting the diet, there was only diarrhea, so the narrow palce didn't produce pain, and now that feces are there, the narrowness cause the pain?

Please help - we consider going to hospital
