Best way out of it is to go by how you feel and kinesiology.
Much as I admire Julia, I think she goes overboard with the estrogenic side of things when she puts down carrots! I'll always be a defender of the carrot! ;) And veggies too - except for nightshade veggies.
But she's absolutely right that a lot of raw juices can weaken the spleen, but cleansing the liver and lymphs strengthens the spleen right up! Carrots cleanse the liver too, they strip fat out of bile, and that was researched by Bastyr University, which is the gold standard for natural, nutritional healing. :)
So it looks like you need to limit your raw foods and switch to broths instead - so put those carrots in some hot water for now. ;)
