Last week I started eating quinoa (inca red quinoa and also white quinoa flakes) and they tasted good the first time. However now I feel nauseous when I eat the stuff, and even the smell turns my stomach now. I eat it cold out of the box, with rice milk and honey and fruit.
Boronia mentioned phytates and saponins - is this what is making me feel sick when I eat quinoa? Maybe I need to cook it instead?
