Since the new Supplement laws in UK...
FOR EXAMPLE (a product I take) Biocare's LIQUID BIOCIDIN - The description on the bottle HAS CHANGED & the ingredients are NOW listed :
Purified water, Modified Tabioca Starch,
preservatives (Glycerol and Potassium Sorbate) Grapefruit Oil Emulsion (Citrus grandis pulp, skin & seed) Anti-oxidant (Natural mixed Tocopherols) Sunflower oil.
The sub-title is now Liquid Grapefruit Oil (not Grapefruit Seed Extract as previously described).
The previous ingredients were listed as:
ACTIVE INGREDIENTS TYPICALLY PER DROP: Grapefruit Seed Extract
NON-ACTIVE INGREDIENTS: De-ionised water & Vegetable Glycerol
Biocare pride themselves on their pure products (and tend to be more pricey). I rang them to ask if they have changed the formula and they said they hadn't. They assured me that Triclosan was not one of the ingredients and they would have to declare it.
Grapefruit seed extract has just too many health benefits to be dismissed so easily.
