If you asked the same question to the general population

If you asked the same question to the general population you would get much the same answers.

You might as well ask how many people here have drunk tap water. You would get 99% of people with candida responding positive. But that result has no explanatory power becuase it holds true of the general population.

I do believe that viruses are linked to candida for some people - notably those whose candida was precipitated by an accute viral infection such as EBV. But I don't believe there is a general candida/viral connection.
