Re: Digestive Aid Soup that Tastes GREAT!
sounds great! thanks for the recipe. here is another for you that you should have no problems eating.
i make a soup (actually made it last night) that is jam packed with tons of veggies and it is absolutely delicious and doesn't flare up the candida at all for me...
first you need a HUGE pot!
chop up 8 - 10 carrots, 2-3 medium onions,
Celery and some fresh garlic and start to sautee them in the bottom of the pot with some olive oil and
Sea Salt . i usually let this continue to cook for about fifteen minutes before i add any broth. in the mean time i chop the rest of the veggies and start adding them.
i cut up, lots of green cabbage, bok choy (leaves and everything), kale, parsley, fresh green beans, fresh parsley, sometimes cilantro if i don't have parsley or you can throw in both...last night i added a few new leafy greens - chard and collard greens...you really can't go wrong with this thing and can feel free to add anymore greens that you want. but i must tell you this combination is awesome together!
now i use three different organic broths - i use about a half a container of beef, 1 full box of vegetable broth and about 1 and 1/2 boxes of chicken broth. they are all organic but i know some of you won't do the beef but i don't have any issues with it. also if you are trying to alkalize, the beef and chicken broth are acidic i am sure, but for the most part it is a pretty decent recipe! and you can use whatever type of broth you want to. i make this in an enormous pot and i will have the whole thing eaten all by myself in about three to four days!!
i start adding the broth in with the rest of the veggies as i chop each one. once everything is packed in there...you have to let it come to a boil and then bring it down to a simmer. let it simmer for 3-3 and a half hours and that's all there is too it!!
hope one of you tries it cause it is awesome!!!
