Re: Just got Celiac diagnosis
Qwer, thanks for that information. That could have a lot to do with it. I have recently been studying the effect of deficiencies on the body's ability to naturally detox, and it sounds like these two issues are closely linked. It appears, from things I have read, that several antioxidants allow the body to naturally chelate many of the heavy metals from the body, but without these nutrients, the body is overwhelmed and yields under pressure. I'm working to increase my antioxidants, as well. I've added E, A, zinc, a multi with high levels of selenium and chromium, and an alpha lipoic acid supplement. I'm also trying to keep the balance between those opposing nutrients to prevent any further deficiences or toxicities.
I want to return to my chlorella, but even small doses seem to chelate me too quickly as my face breaks out terribly whenever I start using it. The same with extra doses of C. I'm hoping that the other antioxidants, especially the extra zinc and alpha lipoic acid can help chelate the mercury a bit so I can add the chlorella back to the regimen.
If removing the mercury can really help relieve me of the gluten-intolerance, that will be wonderful!
