Shroom, to answer your question, they have developed a newer drug that binds copper specifically, one that is supposedly much safer than Penicillamine, which has been around a number of years for the purposes of chelating copper. Copper specific chelation has been an area of interest for a long time in medicine. Finally, now, they have found a plausible link between Cu (2) and actual disease. And it's a big one. Lots of Type 2's out there.
