Do you eat the raw egg whites too? (I'm not sure if it's in the yolk, the white or both, no source mentions it) Raw eggs contains N-acetyl-cysteine, another liver helper and heavy metal chelator. Can't find the amount anywhere, but I read it has been proven. I'm not sure, I think once cooked, something happens to the acetyl-cysteine and the eggs become just a source of cysteine, which is also good.
Some people believed that raw eggs helped to deal with hangovers. It would be explained by the N-acetyl-cysteine.
