IUD-related yeast problems

For the past five years, I have had a copper IUD (intra-uterine device) which I suspect may be perpetuating my candida issues. I was doing some digging to try to figure out why my candida keeps coming back, and found a connection between copper IUDs and candida.

The doctors in the article mentioned that the copper in the IUD leaks into the uterus, causing a weakness in the adrenals and the immune system. They said that this leads to candida/yeast issues in some IUD wearers.

Any thoughts on this?
