FREE SCREENING of "PEACABLE KINGDOM" an amazing documentary about factory farming practices....

IF YOU ARE IN THE NEW YORK CITY AREA....Please come to an impromptu screening of Peaceable Kingdom this Friday, March 25th.

***NOTE TO READERS OF RAW VEGAN FORUM...There will be snacks offered at this event. The evening is not raw nor organic, but it IS vegan. Still, it is a phenomenal film to see! The only thing I would caution people about it is that there are some scenes inside the slaughterhouses that are difficult to watch. However there are also some incredibly uplifting moments as well. If you can, definitely see it!!!

The Students for Education on Animal Liberation (SEAL) at NYU are putting this screening on in honor of their "how long can you go (without eating meat)" campaign. FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.

So come and have some snacks, watch this award-winning film, and take their pledge (or just sign up for their free catered dinner party next week!)

Friday, March 25th at 7 p.m.
Hayden Dining Hall (same place as NYU's vegan nights)
33 Washington Square West between Waverly and W. 4th St.
Free and open to the public
Followed by discussion and refreshments.

Marisa Miller of Global Green will be there to introduce the film and do a Q& A, and there may be some special guests too!

If you've already seen the film, you know how inspiring it is, so bring a friend or two or three! This is being held in the dorm as outreach to students, so if you know of any young people in the city, this would be a great opportunity.

Peaceable Kingdom, a 70-minute documentary that is currently showing at film festivals across the country, highlights the struggles of people who have come to a point in their lives where they must follow their conscience, even though it means giving up their livelihood, their community, and all they were raised to believe and do.

It's about a fourth-generation Montana cattle rancher who experiences an epiphany during a health crisis and resolves to devote his life to undoing the damage done by his agribusiness empire. It's about a Michigan beef farmer whose childhood wounds are healed by the unexpected affection of a sanctuary cow. And it's about a young couple who stumble upon a massive injustice hidden away by the factory farming industry, and find they cannot turn away, even though they can only help one animal at a time.

An inspiring story of personal redemption, compassion, healing and hope, Peaceable Kingdom recently received the Ojai Film Festival theme award for "enriching the human spirit through film." The film had its World Premiere at Lincoln Center in Manhattan and has been selling out theatres and receiving standing ovations in major cities where it has been shown.

Don’t miss this special free screening of Peaceable Kingdom!
