Re: Systemic yeast or candida

My husband and I have discussed several times that had I finally not been diagnosed when I had been I would have been dead within probably 2 to 3 months. That's how bad candida can get. My job was very physical and I kept working entirely too long, literally on my hands and knees about the last 7 months.

The doc that finally diagnosed me pulled me off work a year ago and I'm still home, been battling this for a year. The fatigue was unbearably along with severe muscle and joint pain, stomach issues, depression, anxiety. So, yes, this crap has turned my life upside down also. I knew there was something very very wrong with me but took me two years to find a doc that recognizes candida and how life changing it can be.

If people through self diagnosis or a doc find out they have candida early on they can start the diet and cleansing and never get this bad. Their symptoms are what I call a pain in the butt and irritating crap. Then there are people like me that by the time I knew what was going on it had me and I was down for the count. Unless I end up with cancer at some point in my life, this will by far, be the hardest health issue I will ever deal with. Through my research I've read that candida is harder to treat and recover from than some forms of cancer and I without a doubt agree.

I am a lot better than I was a year ago but I've still got a long way to go to regain my health. For me, I work for a big company, and to get my 6 months of sick pay I had to have a doc diagnose and say I could not perform my job duties and I almost killed myself continuing to work until I found one. I am in the process now of fighting them for Long Term Disablilty that would keep me a paycheck at least until Feb. 06 and hold my job if I get well enough by then to go back. I'm basing my case on the chronic fatigue issue of this because the candida part doesn't fly too well with mainstream world.

I wish you the best in dealing with your own health issues and I completly understand your frustration.
