Re: Systemic candida

No, it doesn't only happen in those who are immune-compromised.
That statement is frequently found, and quoted by doctors who do not understand or properly treat candida.
The problem with the Fluconazole is that it is digested in the stomach. It will then kill candida in the blood stream, but it will not touch your gut, so the problem source will continue.
To really clear candida out of the gut requires nystatin as well as the diet, according to my doctor. I believe he is absolutely correct, because now I am just fine. Took six months! I had been sick for a very long time, so now I would say I am basically healthy, all the allergies, arthritis, etc., gone, but I am quite weak since I could not exercise for so long. Now I can work a very full demanding work schedule, and my energy is approaching the point where I can begin to exercise as well.

There are others on this board who have other approaches, you'll certainly hear about them. You'll have to figure out what works for you! I am very glad that I did, and have my life back.
Good health to you.
